Viruses are the most abundant entity in the world and are known to cause severe diseases in humans, animals and plants. They are important regulators of bacterial populations and are becoming increasingly recognized as essential part of Metaorganisms.
In order to gather and strengthen our local forces and to form a competitive field of viral research in the Kiel area, we would like to invite you to participate at the first
Joint Academic Virus Seminar (JAViS). A keynote lecture is given by Professor Forest Rohwer of San Diego State University at 2 pm.
